The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) has launched an ad campaign to highlight the importance of choosing a board-certified plastic surgeon for your cosmetic procedure. This campaign comes in response to the increasing number of corporate cosmetic surgery centers and non-plastic surgeons who have begun offering cosmetic surgical treatments, often placing patients at increased risk for both medical complications and unsatisfactory results.
The televised ad spots will air later this summer on networks including A&E, E!, Lifetime, OWN, Oxygen, Hallmark, TV Land, and Bravo, and will include the toll-free number of the ASPS call center where patients can obtain the names and contact information of local board-certified plastic surgeons.
