She is the author of several influential medical books and articles, including The Biology of Human Malignant Melanoma.

She is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons. Also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and is currently Vice President for Membership and Communications. She is a representative to the National Accreditation Program for Breast Center (NAPBC). Locally Dr. Gartside is a member of the National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Fairfax County Medical Society. She also serves as a trustee for Elizabeth Town College.

I wanted to express my appreciation for the outstanding and professional medical care from you over the past several weeks.
